Thinking of pulling the plug on our project, looking for an escape strategy.
Hey everyone, sorry of this is in the wrong sub-forum.
The short version of the story is that I think we've bitten off more than we can chew so I'm looking for options/experience in getting out of an overwhelming project.
Currently the shell is off of the frame. The shell is sitting in our garage and the frame (which has been repaired by our local welder) is sitting in the yard under a tarp for the Winter.
Does anyone have any experience for getting out of a project that's in the middle of a shell-off restoration?
Thanks.

Craig's List or post it here on the Forsale Forum. Problem is that it would have to be put back together to be moved.

You might be able to sell it to someone who would put it back together, or help you do that.
You would need to put an ad in Classifieds to sell it here.
Good luck.

Sorry to hear, sounds like a tough spot to be in. The hard part for the buyer in "as-is" condition is that the trailer cannot be moved. There's a fair amount of work involved to tow it away--
Best option may be to list it on the classifieds and see if you get interest.
Less appealing option is to pay to have it brought up to towable, and then list it for sale. I'm sure there's a lot of $$$ between here and there, though. Maybe let us know what year and model you have. Could help others determine a best path forward. Again, so sorry to hear and wishing you guys the best in resolving things!

Take lots of pictures of what you have to offer, include some photos of similar Completed restorations and hope someone likes a challenge. Post here, Craigs List and lots of other online sites. Focus on local interest.

What to do?
I don't think you should take a beating on it just to keep it local. Make the frame roadworthy so it's towable by itself and have buyer get an "In-Transit" tag. But First!!!, go online and look for a bonded "hotshot" 5th-wheel trailer-guy who will tow the shell only for X miles for Y dollars and get some quotes. You may also have to hire someone to whip up a proxy subframe for stiffening the shell to sit on the hotshot flatbed, but that could just be a handy guy with a nail-gun and 2x4's and 2x6's. So, either the prospective buyer comes for a look-see or buys via photo's, you agree to split the shell towing, he tows the frame home himself. Ratchet-tie-downs are amazing things... They can be used to 'X" inside the shell to reduce the lateral stresses of moving down the highway. Also, 4" wide logging web straps can loop over the entire unit to secure it the the flatbed as well. A load like yours should bid out for about $2 a mile. Good Luck.

Im in southern nh And would not mind a project but moving the shell off the frame might be risky if we can get it on the frame so its movable i might be interested what model year and such is it do you have interior pieces?

Our OP has been advised he can't sell on this thread, per Forums rules, so if you have questions that direction, perhaps send him a pm.
