Exclamation Smelly Battery

I have been getting a very bad smell coming from my battery when I have had my 2015 Bambi Sport hooked up to 110 after a length of time (ie: overnight). The battery also feels really warm. Is it getting hot/smelly as a result of too much charging? Should I use the disconnect switch once the battery shows a full charge? Nothing in my owner's manual addresses this.

I would check the acid level and if low add distilled water. I would be concerned that if the trailer sat for a long time before purchase that it could have a bad cell. If those two are okay I would have the converter checked out.

Hot, surfer smell usually means you overcharged the battery. It's probably gone.

Thumbs up Welcome Aboard....

I would bet....It sat on the dealer lot, hooked-up 24/7 and ruined the battery.

With a 2016, the battery should be covered, either by the dealer, or as in our case the battery mfg.

Cooked battery. A result of cheap single stage converter supplied by Airstream. I fixed that issue by going to a pair of 6-volt Trojans and a modern PD three stage converter.

If you check, you will find your battery has boiled dry. Follow awchief's advice for long term cure.

Can you recommend a replacement converter?
