Talking Project of the Day....????

My project for this afternoon will be putting a new Marinco 30 amp reciever on the Avion I have....then I will be going in and removing some more wallboard and ceiling material that needs to be replaced in my squarestream....

What is your project for the Day or your next project that you are planning....and be sure to post pics when completed....or be honest and let us know that because of your "significant other" you did not have enough time to complete the project....

Ok, you inspire and shame me at the same time. Early in the spring, we "quilted" the ceilings of our '95 with screws and screw covers to solve the droopy foam covering. Most of the screw covers worked just fine, snapping into place. About a dozen refuse to close, so we now have an improved ceiling, but some droopy screw covers (2 steps forward, one step back). My project will be to go out to Gypsy, turn on the air for a while to cool her down, use our battery screw driver to back out the balky screw/covers and try to redrive them so they will snap in place. If that fails, I'll be shopping this weekend for additional screw covers to replace the bummy ones. ~G

Today we are doing a "road trip" to South Jersey RV - to check out their facility and maybe buy some needed vintage parts and then on to Jersey Shore Haven Airstream campground to check it out for a future (maiden?) trip with our new to us 62. A visit to the in-laws in Cape May NJ is also wrapped into this trip topped off by a night at Citizens Bank Park to see our fighting Phillies take on the San Diego Padres.

This weekend's list includes fixing the right brake/turn signal. The taillight works but not the other two. I have checked the bulb, even replaced it, checked the socket and wires as they enter the socket. Now I need to dig deeper and find this pesky problem. Next is to check the umbilical cord.

Also on the list is to install the slider rail I have been lookingf for for over five years and Rob of VAP fame found me three of them. Good to have back-ups. I also want to install my newly redone MHMA emblem. These should keep me busy for one of the days this weekend.

i'm also going to pop over to uwe's shop and get a tour of his overlander.

it's a good day

Yesterday it was pulling the trailer out for a good washing, buying all new sheets and blankets for the beds, and mopping the floors, etc.

The local paper came out for a photo shoot since the Ambassador will be on the cover of the lifestyle section in this Sunday's paper.

Tonight, I'll try and shoot a video tour since its all clean and pretty :-)

With the heat being what it is here in Phoenix this time of year, I have to use my time wisely. Morning is the best time to work on my Airstream since it's relatively cool outside (in the low 80s), unfortunately Saturday morning is really the only time I can do this.

But to answer the question, I'm still working on the bathroom refurbishment. I ripped out the bathroom vinyl floor and will replace it once I apply Kilz to the floor to get rid of the Pet odors from the previous owner. I'll be putting in part vinyl in front of the tub and toilet and carpet in front of the closets.

Just painted the plastic tub, sink and counter fixtures and will soon replace the wood facing with new beadboard. I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep the tambour door or put in a sliding door next to the toilet. So many decisions...
