Newbie ooo...oops
Dumping dishwater in the toilet—good idea. Dumping fork along with the dishwater—bad idea. Is this like zen, just let it pass (or settle to archeological debris for a future restoration to marvel at)? Or is there a recovery to such numbskullness?

Since I came within a whisker of doing this yesterday, I can relate. I would have left it there for someone in 2075 to wonder about on their forums.
I was pouring it in, and just about to do the final "turn it all over" move, when I decide to run my hand through the water. A fork! How about that!
Just remember it's there, so if you ever experience a slowage in your dumpage you might have a reason for it.

Short of removing the tank and turning it on end and fishing the fork out, you should probably just leave it alone. It may or may not come out the drain. The only really bad thing that can happen is that, if your luck is like mine, it could get lodged in the area of the valve gate and prevent it from closing. If you are using a slinky hose to dump, and the fork makes it in there, it will very likely put a hole in your slinky.
What I would do is talk to Chris or one of the guys at the Service Center at the factory and ask what they think you should do.

Well, well...
Check if other similar utensils are magnetically attracted. If yes, a magnetic item for fishing expedition.
Wear gloves. Pictures NOT required, thanks.
Also, it is probably important to get it out so it doesn't jam your tank dump valve.

Why is putting dishwater in the toilet a good idea ?
I have used dirty water, or rain water to flush a toilet, so as to conserve fresh water, but not to get rid of dish water. Also, I use enzymes in my black tank. I don't want soap, especially anti bacterial soap to disrupt the enzyme process. Also, I really want to avoid a full black tank. I think a full grey tank would be easier to deal with, than a full black tank. just sayin'

Some do this while camping without a sewer hookup because they would otherwise fill the gray way before the black since on some trailers both tanks are about the same size.

I particularly liked the link reply about having the wife's dainty hands fit through the hole for a tactile search... but think I'll not push that one. Magnet on a string was my first thought but the more I think about it, it probably is a problem that doesn't need a solution...unless it does
