Which ribs? The shell ribs?as in the ones that go from floor-wall-roof then back to the floor?
What are you planning to 'hang' on the 2x4? Ideally you would want the floor to support the 'load'...
I believe the OP is not intending to hang anything on the 2x4s, but rather use them for bracing when removing the shell from the frame. I could be wrong.
How are you executing your lift, ie. jacking up against the bracing you are talking about installing, or hoisting from above? If you are hoisting, then bracing is not needed.
I lifted mine last week with just a 2x6 and a pair of chain hoists--no issues. I'm indoors though and have no concerns of wind or other external factors.
If I was out doors I might consider bracing and anchoring it to protect from wind.
