We have a 73 Safari; and we were just up in Plymouth, CA ( up by foothills outside of Sacramento). It got down to freezing the first night and I did not know to take off the water supply hose. Naturally the hose froze! So I thawed it out and hooked it back-up and all worked fine. The next night I un-hooked the hose and we went to bed. The next morning I re-attached the hose and turned on the water; the faucets were working fine as was the hot water heater. I then noticed water was dripping out of a spout under the left rear of the trailer! Did not see any water inside the trailer, or it draining anywhere else? Would have thought if a pipe had burst there would have been water all over instead of just drips! Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
I think that is a low point drain. Is there a cabinet next to the bed? Chances are there is a valve in there which is leaking. Might be open a but and the freeze opened it enough to leak a little?
Thank you all so much!! I found the valve you mentioned and it does go to that lower under floor spout. Found out it can be replaced at the shop in about an hour.
I have one more question: Do the older Airstreams like ours have a filter for the heater?
