Best options/gadgets accessories for your Airstream
The list of options/gadgets/accesories for our Airstreams seem endless. Some work well and some are iffy. Name the top best things you have bought for your Airstream, in order of best, and a one-liner why.
Here's ours:
1) ProPride hitch. It has changed our towing experience to pleasant and effortless no matter what the conditions, and easy weight distribution.
2) Michelin tires/16" Sendel T02 wheels. No more concern when the next GYM tire blowout will be on our trailer, at the worst possible time.
3) Solar power/Lifeline battery option. Most of our travel needs can be done without a generator or hookups.
4) Dyson Hot space heater. For our long-term camping, this heats our trailer evenly and quietly, and keeps the temp at where you select it.
5) Sewer Solution. Quick and clean to use when traveling.
6) Moisture Detection Meter. Probe the subfloor during our quarterly Airstream inspection/maintenance to find inevitable leaks before they cause floor rot.
7) Exterior protection products. CorrosionX to prevent/mitigate corrosion at the exterior cut edges, rivet holes, and accessories, Boeshield T-9 for the underbody steel, Glaze polish for the shell, uv protection for the exterior seals/plastics/window gaskets.

Some of ours are the same. Our favorites are:
1. 16" LT tires
2. Hensley Arrow hitch system
3. Sewer Solution

This is good stuff! I do not have my AS in hand yet, but I have purchased most of that stuff in anticipation. What about WiFi? I do not like the solutions I am seeing from Ranger or JEFA Tech.

I am using moisture alarms installed in the AS (permanently) which monitor the most common water intrusion/pooling spots. Has called my attention to leaks twice so far.

Are the moisture detectors used above the floor or in the belly area?

Above. I place them in each of the corners....2 in the rear compartment with "wicking" rags stuffed under the flooring and wedged into the sensor leads. The other two are in the front corners.
The rear ones signaled me when the hole drilled into the shell for the back up camera was not sealed properly and once when the rear compartment door frame needed resealing. Both alarms were well in advance of what I would have ever noticed by accident or inspection. They are quite sensitive.
Here are many examples:
Amazon.com: water alarm

on my thread that this thread was brought to my attention...someone stated that JC is not accepting any mods on special orders besides stock factory stuff...???
I am looking to potentially buy a new one special order....kind of a bummer if some of these things are better if done by JC

stupid quesiton, but what exactly is a "Microwave/Thermal/Convection oven"?
I take it it would replace a gas oven......not sure what to think about this though...as I never used such?
And what is "bogart trimetric"...
Thanks you all!
