Best handbooks for Airstream care and maintenance

I am a newbie with a 2010 international. The airstream pamphlet that comes with our trailer is pretty vague, while all the books on amazon are guides to rvs in general, not airstreams. Does anyone have a bible/ handbook they swear by for looking things up and problem-solving on the fly for those of us who are Airstream newbies? Thanks! Wendy

Newbie Guide

Airstream Life Magazine just published this year a Newbie's Guide to Airstreaming. We just got it and it's great at covering all the major systems and basics. It may be what you are looking for. Here is a link:

Good Luck!

what you want to make sure you have is :

a wi-fi hotspot and a open line to airstream forums!

--- along with all that other printed stuff.

This forum is an excellent place to gain information about anything Airstream, however i have been very thankful for the huge but thorough manual that came with my 1995 Excella 1000. The manuel covers every system with very good detail. Of course by 2010 all of this may be on CD or you may be able to download direct from the internet. Check it out.

I bought this and can't say I would recommend it to anyone except a true newbie. It is only a 1/4 inch thick and I read it cover to cover in about an hour. Of course, I have been pulling farm and utility trailers for over 30 years and have read about and wanted an airstream for about that long. I finally bought my first airstream last Thursday and spent most of the weekend cleaning it and working on systems. This forum and the service manual have been my best resorses.

Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad book, but it isn't going to be the reference you are looking for.

I purchased the book Newbie Guide to Airstreaming and found it toso elementary and limited on content it was absolutely useless. I bought my Airstream in January and learned zero from this book.
