broken brake wires

After towing 1300 miles I crawled underneath to wire camera only to notice my streetside forward brake wiring totally broken at the splice.

Should I just resplice? I know it needs repair, just seems the crimp connectors are not best for task.

I have repaired broken wires on mine with solder and shrink tubing.

Either method is fine if done correctly. Might try doing a search "crimp vs soldier". This issue has been debated many times. I would use marine type crimp connectors.

I had similar problems on several wheels and I also replaced all with solder/shrink tube.

Solder and shrink tubing is easy for me. I will see if I can locate marine with shrink tubing

Thanks for verify that is acceptable process.

Good to have some Marine in the tool kit for emergencies, no ac or heat needed.....

.......especially when your water pump takes a dump your first time out and you've got 2sq ft to Mcgyver in, with a closet full of cloths, that aren't allowed to catch fire or get wrinkled, ...hate it when that happens.
