Bracing frame

I'm sure this has been addressed but I need to ask again.can you support the trailer off of the frame and front screw jack to remove the axle.
Thanks

Greg.

The trailer should be held in place with "jack stands" that are placed on the axle mounting plate, just behind the axle.

You can also use the front jack, but for better security, place a jack stand or two on the A-frame as well as the frame just forward of the bumper.

Placing a jack stand on the frame is some what risky, because if it slips in any way, you will wind up typically with a hole in the underbelly, and/or the floor.
