Portable AC for 2nd unit?

There are several floor model portable AC units out there. I have a 34 footer with one 13.5K AC. Most of the time it meets my needs. Occasionally the back bedroom is hot. I am wondering if I could put a portable floor model AC back there on a as needed basis. They seem to draw about 10 amps and put out 5-10k BTU. I could easily vent it under my bed out out the back compartment door. They are also a lot cheaper and could be stored in my garage when not needed, which would be most the time. I would also be able to keep my variable speed in/out ceiling fan. Anybody have any experience with these suckers?

Yes, It certainly can and has been done. If you dig deep enough here there are post from the past on doing this.
