Airstream using new A/C unit?

I think I remember someone posting that Airstream is now using an A/C unit with a built in drain pan, but I can't find the post.

The real question is; what is the current model of A/C Airstream is using on the new trailers?

Thanks

I was in a new one on a lot just this weekend, and I didn't look specifically at the air conditioner, so I could be wrong, but I believe it was still the Dometic.

Penguin II

Dometic has been threatening to introduce their new roof A/C.....the Penguin II for the last couple of months. Maybe they have finally hit the market.

I don't have any details on them yet, but will post what I can when I get the new specifications.

Craig,
Are you referring to this post? I got the info from the August Blue Beret in "Schu's News".

Airstream is using a Dometic. They have a retrofit that AS put on their units. This thread below will help. I have some more links at work for the exact part number of the kit.

Lance,

Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for. Now I just need to find the part number for the new unit. I need to replace my current unit and have had some leak issues which I suspect may be pan related. If I go with the new unit, that should take care of replacing everything.

Lew, I am very interested if you have had any experiences good/bad with this new setup.

Thanks to all for the responses.
