Best Cooktop?

I have been surfing threards hoping to find the exact answer to my question (to keep fro, double posting) but I haven't found it yet, so here goes...

We decided to pull the original Magic Chef oven from our 69 Caravel because the oven didn't work, and replace it with a 2 or 3 burner slide in cooktop, and possibly supplement it with a microwave/convection unit later. I purchased a SS Suburban cooktop but was very disappointed when it arrived. It seems flimsy and cheap. I would like someting nicer, but don't want to spend a fortune...any suggestions or other ideas I can investigate?

Thank you!
Krista

Much of what is made for the “RV industry” in North America is cheap and flimsy stuff.

Here’s a site for Gaggenau:

You can also Goggle “2-burner gas top” and come up with brands like Meile or other well designed, well made appliances.

I have switched to diesel in my trailer and will be using either a WALLAS or WEBASTO diesel cook top. Both are well made, well designed.

Thanks Sergei,
I,m familiar with both brands and will research them further. Tried eBay, no hits today.
