Our backup is a PUP. Does anyone know-- we are not going to have the 62 TW ready by this spring, but would like to attend the rally in Branson --- is it OK to go to rally with the backup?

tlsmit,
As the founder of the biannual Branson rally and a fellow St. Louis taxpayer, you are more than welcome to attend in the PUP (Just bring some foil to tape to it, and some pics of the stream).

You don't mention size requirements. We sold a 2008 17' Casita when we ordered our Airstream. I really liked the 'fiberglass egg' for many reasons, but we decided to upgrade for more space etc... We travelled over 10,000 miles with it last year, and sold it for asking price within three days of posting on the Casita forum.

I don't know what I would do sometimes without Ms. Sugarfoot. She went yesterday and inspected the 4 trailers for sale. Feel free to look at this web page she build for them Scottsboro Campers. After seeing better pics from her camera, I am a little disheartened. The owners are also not open to negotiation which is another problem.
Looks as if I just need to keep looking for an Airstream.

Hint; it's not a TT...but a TC!
Why end up with 2 TT's?
Get something different...the TC is a whole new experience, way more flexible than a TT...of any stripe...
Of course...you will need a proper mule for a TC.

I guess that's why the fan looks the best then. I really liked the light switch in the 2x4! That is classic!

This is pretty cool, it could be like a guest house for friends when they stop by. I imagine it has a nice price tag to go with it?

But there are some places you just can't take your Airstream...
like Punalu'u Black Sand Beach, Big Island, HI (next to a sea turtle.)

Just kiding.. Actually, I would look for a pop-up.. We had a Rockwood Pop-up for close to 15 yrs. It had shower, toilet, furnace, fridge.. Cheap, just not the same as a AS..

True comfort....
If the Airstream is out of commission...
Second will be the Curtis...second because there is no AC (yet.)

T@b is a nice li'l trailer, but it ain't for tall folks. The one I sat in would work if I moved around in it on my knees. I'm 5' 17" though...

Well I was going to pass on the idea of getting a non-Airstream trailer to tide us over for the next two summers, but after absolutely no luck in finding a trailer camp-able in my price range, and my son almost crying when I said we wouldn't likely be camping this summer have me back looking at this option. This summer break will be the only family time together other than a month over next Christmas...we have to camp!
Many people think I am crazy, but seeing how many people on this thread have commented on their back-up trailers I know I am right for the family.
Currently looking at two teardrops. One is a 3 sleeper, and the other would require fabricating a way to add a tent along the side to increase space. Let me know what you all know of out there.

Hey steve, have you looked at buying a damaged or repo'ed camper? Try any auction places near you, I have purchased quite a few of these over the years as a way of funding our camping trips.Buy in the spring , fix it up and camp through the summer and sell early fall and I usually made a profit.
Just a thought, good luck.
