Tallahassee, FL locations

We are taking a trip to Fort Wilderness at Disney World on Friday June 5th coming from North Alabama. We are planning on trying to get as far as Tallahassee on the way down and spending the night there. With a pregnant wife we will be having to stop very often or we would probably try to make it all in one day. I would love some suggestions of campgrounds in the Tallahassee area for an overnight stay on the way.

We stayed at the Big Pak CG and found it clean and just fine for an overnight. Just off the interstate, so easy in and out.

What did it cost you to stay there? Their rates are not listed on their website.

I meant to say Big Oak, but I guess you figured that out. I don't remember the rate, but this site says a recent rate was $33.

It's a very handy site, by the way - I've found the reviews to be pretty accurate.

If you're planning on using I-10, and find yourself approx. 75 miles east of Tallahassee, we just stayed at Suwannee River State Park a couple of days ago. I highly recommend it. The park staff was very friendly and helpful, and the campground was exceptional - very well maintained and quiet. If I recall, they have a total of 30 sites, all with electric/water/sewer hookups. The cost is $15 per night.
