Natchez Trace

We plan to drive the Natchez Trace from south to north next spring. Any advice? Would March 20 be too early to start? Or should we wait till April?

I have driven the Trace from Natchez to just north of Jackson in March. Great time of year in the south, and a great road. 50 mph speed limit, non-stop, limited access two lane. It remains one of my favorite roads to pull a trailer. NPS provide maps and camp ground information on line.
