OK, MY MISTAKE
Any make or model of RV can stay at the Land Yacht Harbor.
WBCCI members pay $18 (including tax) not $17, a member is a member no matter which unit you belong to or if you are a MAL (member at large)
All others pay $27(including tax) including Airstream RVs that do not belong to WBCCI
There are discounts with Good Sam or Escapees.
Membership here is $25 a year. Let me know if you want a membership packet, Nancy 425 359 4191.
The web site will be up and running by 4/1/14 and maybe sooner
The number for reservations is 360 491 3750, Pat.
FYI we are very close to Red Wing Casino, and about 25 miles to Little Creek Casino.

Lots of room at Kalaloch in Olympic National Park right now. Picture is from the beautiful day yesterday. Definitely isn't as nice today, but that's just fine out here.
Cheers,

Wow, Land Yacht harbor prices have gone way up since we stayed there a couple years ago! We always stay there when we're working in Seattle.
I haven't de-winterized yet. I usually wait until a few weeks before we have a trip planned, and we're not going anywhere for another month yet. But I do have a heater going in there so it won't get musty.
PBearSailor: Kalaloch looks beautiful! That has been on my to-do list for entirely too long.

I once took one of our cats out on the ocean beach on a leash. As soon as she realized that the waves were causing water to come toward us, she immediately jumped up about waist high on me and grabbed hold. Before I could react to that, she had climbed until all 4 feet were on the top of my head. It was not a pleasant experience, so I haven't tried it since.

orange kayak, we've never stayed at either of the two places you mentioned. Be sure to report back here and let us know where you stayed.
I just found this article about the Best RV Parks in the NW:
Vote for Best RV Park in the Northwest Area - KING5 Best Northwest Escapes
The Waterfront at Potlatch in Shelton looks like a nice place to stay.
Anybody else going out this coming weekend?

Great weekend, you will have fun, can't wait to see the pictures.
We are headed to Pt Hudson RV park in Port Townsend this weekend.
If anyone in the area, stop by would love to meet you. We will probably be the only Classic MoHo.

Had a great weekend trip visiting Leavenworth, and stayed at Icicle Creek RV park. Hosts are very nice, the riverfront sites have awesome views, firepits, and full hookups. Location has showers/restrooms and laundry, plus a small hot tub. Only 4 miles from downtown Leavenworth too. Had a nice breakfast at Sandy's Wafflehaus in town, where they have RV parking nearby. I'd happily visit again. Site was $48 a night for 4 plus a pet, much better than the nearby KOA.
You can just see our trailer (3rd one over):

Icicle r.v. park looks nice; we were just talking about a Leavenworth trip.
We spent the weekend at Illahee SP near Bremerton. Pretty, but also very close to urban area. And most of the sites are limited to small trailers, campers, or tents. Next weekend we'll be at Bowman Bay campground at Deception Pass. Looking forward to it!

Dewinterizing this coming weekend after picking the Airstream up from some minor service at Seattle Airstream this week. FYI, they have a new service manager who just started last week. Early indications appear to be very positive. The last one was seriously lacking some people skills, though we finally managed to overcome that deficit and I could deal with her. They have been doing some rearranging and both the service and parts department are a lot more user friendly. All of this bodes well in my mind.
Part of me hates to see any mention of Point Hudson...it's hard enough to get reservations already, I don't want more competition. That said, it is probably my favorite place to spend an Airstream weekend.

BusDriver--I have to agree. We were there at Point Hudson RV Park last weekend. It was beautiful place and we really liked the town of Port Townsend. We had the best fish & chips at Sea J's, very fresh & cooked perfectly. Yummy!
We definitely plan on going back!
Here's our trailer parked right on the beach. Can you smell the fresh air??

We had a lovely weekend at the Burlington / Anacortes KOA, using it as a base from which to visit the Skagit valley tulips and to de-winterize our trailer.

If the wind is right the smell of the pulp mill too? Just kidding, Port Townsend (the whole Olympic Peninsula in fact) is wonderful. But seeing a picture of the Tulip fields is special. We look forward to some of our summer there, as well as summer away from Savannah of course (go figure).

When in Port Townsend do not miss Waterfront Pizza downtown. In my book one of the best pizzas, if not the best in the state. A whole pizza or a slice, they are amazing.
