Florida Bound-need a campground

We are heading to Destin Florida, traveling from Ohio. We plan to stop just south of Nashville, Tennessee. Looking for campground recommendations close to I-65. It doesn't have to be fancy but I'm looking for something that is easy on-easy off.

Thanks in advance,
Hank

Don't know about Nashville, but where are you camping in Destin?

Facility Details - SEVEN POINTS (TN), TN - Recreation.gov

Large Lake Front Sites and close to I 65. We stayed there and it was well maintained and clean. Updates were made to the campground, following the Nashville flood several years ago.

Thanks for the camping suggestions. I will do my research.

We are on our way to Henderson Beach State Park in Destin. Had such a good time last year, we decided to camp there again.

My wife and I spent a week in a beach-side campsite at Emerald Coast RV Beach Resort and loved it.

It's in Destin, of course.

Friendly people, good prices, and a wonderful view of Santa Rosa Sound.

We just returned from a weeks stay at Henderson. Weather wasn't to hot but we loved the campground. All that acreage and only 60 campsites.....wow. Great privacy and only a short walk to about 1/2 mile of essentially private beach. All that for about $230 a week.
I bought a SmartTote before going down to use for gray water and only had to empty it once; and that was easy of the paved streets throughout the campground.
A friend of ours stayed at TopSail. It has full hookups and concrete pads but not the privacy of Henderson and the beach is a long way away.
We were in site 009......great private site.
Have a good time. If you have never eaten at Dewey Destin, give it a try.

Breakfast at the Donut Hole on Hwy 98 is great too, don't miss the Red Bar, great food there and live music.

We just left Topsail Hill State Park about 14 miles from Destin this morning (Now in Tallahassee).

Topsail Hill is an excellent choice as far as I am concerned - we have been there twice.

Thanks to all who have given us Destin restaurants to try. I am surprized that we haven't been to any of these.

Hi Al. Tell Jean "Hi" as well. We will be at the BBIII and look forward to seeing both of you. Bring your Dutch Oven and we will cook some awesome food for the group.

Kathy

We camped at Topsail and lvoed it. And Dewey Destin's is a great place to eat. Saw the Donut Hole, but didn't eat there. Maybe next time.

South of Nashville, TN a campground we stay at for an overnight is Texas T.
Easy access at the bottom of the off ramp.

We made reservations at the Texas T Campground. Nice folks when I talked to them.

Have made a list of the recommended places to eat when in Destin. I was researching a dinner cruise. If anyone has tried this, please let me know what your experience was. There is only one in Destin so there should be no confusion as to which one I am looking at.

Thanks
