Dinette table question
Just wondering if anyone travels with their dinette table up. We have always stored it, but would be nice not to have to take it down and put it up so much when travelling.

Somewhere in our manual it recommends to travel in the up position. Stays solid as a rock, and it's such a pleasure not to have to setup/take down every time.

I have never even thought about taking ours down!

We travel with it in the up position with a small piece of cardboard under the leg for fear of the floor getting scratched in transit- which may be an irrational fear-

Up, we use the little adhesive chair leg carpet material floor protectors on the legs.

While we owned them, ours have never been down in either of our trailers we own presently or the three we owned earlier. No problems, except a screw vibrated out of one of the hinge brackets in one of the 70's model trailers! (Can't remember which one)

We never convert the dinette for sleeping. That is just entirely too much trouble.
I don't even convert the couch. I just sleep on it as is.

If concerned about the linoleum getting scratched, go to a hardware store and purchase a rubber floor disk for a table leg and out it under the dinette leg when moving.

Down! (as a minority of one?) We sometimes travel on bumpy roads & didn't think the shaking & vibrating would do an "up" table any favours.
Also, since neither one of us wants to be the "insider" in our east-west bed, the convertable dinette bed is in use everynight. If we eat outside, it is handy to leave the 2nd bed as-is.

We always have ours up. Did notice that the floor was wearing under the leg, but simply attached a felt furniture pad under the leg and problem solved.
