DeLorme Map Print Pack

A while back, I ordered the DeLorme Map Print Pack in order to print contour maps to aid in my hiking in state parks. It shows most all roads, contours down to 50 foot levels, terrain features, and popuated areas. I never ended up using it much.

I just tried iit for the first time to follow the route I'm taking on my next trip. It really woks neat for this purpose. My trip will take me north through the mountains in east Oklahoma and I printed contour maps of several of the more difficult stretches. The pass over Kiamichi Mountain looks like a very interesting piece of road to say the least.

You can get the altitude of any point on a road just by placing the cursor over it, which helps in estimating grades. It also shows a lot of terrain features such as mining areas that will be interesting to look for on the way.
