Chessapeake Bay area RV Park wanted !!!

Group :

Do any of you know of a reasonably nice RV park in the Chessapeake Bay area where we could set up a "base camp" for the Airstream, that would be "really close" (next door if possible) to a marina that would be a good summertime (northern) destination for our sailboat.

Many thanks in advance to those who respond.

Regards, Paul.

Paul,

There was a place that was quite reasonable, called Ponderosa Pines RV Park, on the Susquehannah River, in Cecil County Maryland. I don't know if the place is still in business or not, but I know there's a marina nearby.

I live near St. Michaels,MD and drive by the Beach Harbor RV park on Rt. 50 on my way to Annapolis all the time. I have never been in the park, but it is close to several marinas that are sailboat friendly. Here's their website. http://www.beach-harbor.com/

There's a place we occasionally use near Chestertown, MD called Duck Neck Campground. It has boat docks right next to the campground. I don't know what your sail boat drafts, but the river looked fairly deep, and there's some great sailing along the Chester River which goes to the Chesapeake.

Here are some links:
