We love Charleston. We used to rent a house on Edisto Beach when the kids were young. Man I would love to go back to that neck of the woods. I would be interested.

Sounds nice, I dont think Rolly Polly will be ready to roll any time soon, but if it is come march I want a spot right infront of Rob so he will have a good look at a true 70's trailer everytime he looks up......

I love it Bill.. but the true question is - Will 70s trailers be allowed in? ..... just kidding.

They might end up like that campground on HH that doesn't allow anything over 5 years old or popups...must maintain "the standards"

On our way to Florida this fall we drove on by Charleston as the weather was a bit rainy and cold. Being unfamiliar with the area we chose to skip the rv parks there and headed for Flagler Beach, FL. With an Airstream park in Charleston we would surely stop.

Great Idea!! We love Charleston. But as someone stated...July and August are not the times to be there. Hot and muggie.

Rest assured my friends we are working hard and taking all these excellent questions and concerns to heart.
We will cater to Airstreams new and of course the old. With somewhere between 70 and 80% of Wally's creations still on the road, we would not only be crazy, but be doing a disservice if this CG didn't allow the vintage Airstreams. Heck, those are my favorite. If we end up a little further uptown, then I will make sure we have something like a 1960's or 70's convertible Cadillac to drop campers off at King and Calhoun to hit the town!
We are dead serious about this project, but it is very beaurocratic getting this going. Once we secure a proper and affordable space you guys will be the first to know!
best,
Nic

I love visiting Charleston, so this sounds great to me. I've stayed at James Island County Park when I've been there in the camper. I'd sort of like to have a WDCU rally in Charleston in the next few years. Keep us posted!

I am sure Paul W. would move the WDCU New Years non-rally from Myrtle to Charleston. Good luck with your task at hand. Just ask here if you need any help.
