Camping near Withlacoochee State Trail in Florida

Does anyone have any experience in campgrounds adjacent to or near the Withlacoochee state state trail? We are looking for a January escape and this biking/ hiking trail looks very intriguing. I see a variety of campgrounds near the trail but would like advice on any that would allow us to bike from the campground directly to the trail.

Silver Lake Campground near Brooksville in the Withlacooche State Forest is right next to the south end of the trail and is on a lake on the Withlacooche River. Stayed last December...nice campground location for biking and canoe/kayaking under big oak trees. The trail is an easy paved ride for some 30 miles. Some highway noise from I-75.
