Campgrounds in Holmes County, OH

Any recomendations for a campground in or around Millersburg or Berlin, OH. We will be passing through the area in June for maybe 2-3 nites.

Thanks.

John,

No recommendation, but I have a Airforums member that I bet can add a bit of info, I'll send him a PM.

Might be a bit later before he gets back, just getting home from a TAC Rally.

Mohican State Park

John,

I spoke a little too soon, I do have a recommendation.

http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/mohican

Our family did tent camping here and it is in a magnificent forest area, possibly the closest to Berlin that is a state park.

One of the big draws is canoeing, rafting or tubing on the Mohican River. Many canoe liveries in nearby Loudenville and the area.

No clue what the current reservation program is. There are also private campgrounds in the area but really can't speak for them. We've also stayed at Dillon SP but that is a bit far to the south of Berlin.

Wish we could have tagged along on this one.

Gary

Mohican is a very nice State Park and Holmes County is beautiful Amish country. There are also tons of private campgrounds but IMO not as nice as the State Park.

Just at the west end of Berlin there is Berlin RV Park run by the Amish. The park might be three years old and very clean with pull through sites. We stayed there last May. Full hook up cost us $30.60 per night.

I live in NJ, but travel from CT to Dublin every Summer and spend a couple nites at the Berlin RV. Big nice pull thrus, trees coming along for shade. They even have free firewood. I go over to Lehman's hardware and fabric shopping. They have great laundry room. They only thing they do not have is bathroom and showers, it is RV park. Enjoy if u go.

The Berlin RV park on the west end of Berlin does have showers. There are three each for men and women. They are very nice, each shower is in it's own bathroom with a sink, shower and commode. They are immaculate! This a new campground only about three years old.

There is another RV Park, Evergreen Park RV Resort in Dundee,Ohio on Rout 250. The rates are about $50.00 per night and the offer Good Sam discount. They even have a indoor pool. This is a very plush RV park! All sites are paved and I think they are all pull through just take a look at their web site.

Thank you all. We like State Park camping, but sometimes they are a bit remote for exploring the area. Berlin RV Park sounds good, would be perhaps more accessable to the local attractions. We will look at Mohican, Berlin, and Evergreen. There may be as many as 6 of us traveling together.

We recommend Amish Country Campsites, run by a very nice Mennonite family. The road in front of the campground has a constant stream of horses and buggies. They also provide free fire wood, they get from a local cabinet company.
