We were there a few years ago & I don't recall any waterside campgrounds. Very busy area but if you like lobster, the roadside lobster shacks are worth the trip.

We stayed at the KOA several years ago. Nice, not great but nice. Waterside sites vary from up a small rise on the water to virtually right on the water. All I think are back in. We had a "water"site but were actually one spot away with a motorhome between us and the water. Still a nice view from the lawn chairs and we could launch the kayaks 15' from our site.
We're at the Narrows Too Campground in Trenton right now - just north of Bar Harbor. We have a waterfront site and it's great. There are pull thru sites here, but not on the water. Right now it's not crowded at all.
We will be there at Oceanside KOA that week of 20 July... We were able to get a waterfront site reserved about a month ago but I highly recommend you call and book soon. Good luck and we hope to meet many fellow 'Streamers there!
