Arizona

Heading for Williams Arizona,by way of California.Going up to the KOA there with a 04 Bambi. How's the roads to the GC from there? Is there any particular roads that might be steeper or narrower than others?

Get your Kicks on Rt 66

Last fall we traveled down through Cal to the Grand Canyon. After a short stay in the LA area we headed to Barstow where we took I-40 but we got off the freeway in Needles and took the old Rt 66 road. It was the best road we took on the trip! Very scenic, great small towns, lots of history, Oatman was great! Wild burros walking around town - we returned to I-40 at Saligman. All of the roads we took were in very good condition. We pull a 22’ and had no problems, in-fact driving old 66 was much more enjoyable due to the lack of traffic.

Good road from Williams to GC. Watch the weather as they can still get snow this time of year.-----Pieman

AZ highway 64.

Two lane highway in decent condition. And the comment about snow, it can happen. While PHX will hit 80 this week. The high for Flag is only 44. Will be warmer in the week to come with over night lows at or below freezing.

And 64 is the ONLY way in or out from Williams by vehicle. You could take the train. Bambi will not fit on the train!
