What about gravel?

Our '72 Streamline is going to be parked for a year or so while we live in it and renovate it and we're thinking about putting down a bed of gravel and pavers on the space we have set aside for it. The trailer weighs about 4800 lbs.

Any thoughts or advice on this subject would be most welcome!

The important thing is to keep the tires from making direct contact with the ground to prevent moisture, heat and cold from the ground from deteriorating the tires from the inside. A pair of 2x6 boards or some Lynx levelers would do the trick. If the area you will be sitting on tends to get muddy in wet weather, you may want to go with gravel to prevent sinking into the mud.I would also invest in 2 pairs of wheel covers from WalMart to protect the tires from UV exposure. You may also want to put down something for your stabilizer jacks as well.
