Door hinges for my Streamline
Hi,
First of all let me say thank you Air Stream Forum and your members! In the last year I purchased a '69 Streamline and have been fixing it up; could have never done it without all the knowledge on your forum.
I am living in the trailer full time, and recently noticed that the hinges to my door are about to completely snap. I have attached to some photos so you can see the state of the hinges and how the door works.
I have looked for the same hinges online, with no luck; I saw on your Forum that someone in a similar situation had them hand made, a costly solution, plus, my Streamline is parked in Mexico, and my door is not going to hold on for too long.
This means I'm looking for another solution; I realize it is not an airstream, but am hoping some of the savvy people on here have brilliant ideas/ creative solutions. Ideally new hinges would be aluminum (parked near the sea so rust is a major issue with steel), and strong enough to hold the big door up. I could use separate hinges for the second, smaller part of the door that opens. Am curious to hear what you think, what solutions come to mind, and where you think I should look!
Thank you
