Curtis Wright screen repair
Hi all. The Curtis Wright project is going slowly but well. I took a break from the floor for a while and inspected the screens. It seems that the only way to properly redo the screens is to drill out the hundreds of rivets and screen the frame that is built into each window. As I stared at this dilemma, It seems to me that I could make a very thin frame and place screen material on it. Epoxying the screen onto the frame could then be done. Trimming the screen and riveting it in place would be the final detail. Putting all of the window components back would cover the screen frame. As for the window seal that was put in under the riveted window frame from the outside, I would think some sort of weather seal has been used by many of you reading this forum. What window seal or weather stripping would you recommend? I really won't pull the windows to redo the screens and the weather seal. So, optional options are what I need! Thanks, Chris
