With the severe weather around us this last week I got to worrying about you all with your Airstream shell off, awaiting the new floor and frame work, sitting in your drive or beside the house. I know that would never have worked around here in North Texas this week....how are you protected against lift off and roll overs...what do you do? Soldiermedic.....you OK? I saw where you had 70mph wind last week with your Baby sitting outside.
Does anyone recognize this attached photo? I am still trying to find the owner, Jason Reed. Maybe I can scrounge some salvage parts.
WOW,glad all we have to worry about down here is hurricanes, and maybe a twister every once in a while. At first thought,I thought that was your, glad it`s not.Now I feel for Jason Reed.Dave
I've got about 500 lbs of dimensional lumber framing mine out and this is screwed down (multiple angles) to four sturdy sawhorses. The sawhorses are weighed down with, I'd guess, about 300 to 400 lbs of fresh cut logs on each corner. I've also chained (3/8 ths) the main framing to a power pole upwind. I still fret if there are high winds and can't wait to get the shell and chassis re-united ASAP.
