August 2011 Photo Contest

[AL’ UM- MONEY]

As the grateful winner of the July photo contest I think it is my duty to choose the August theme. This could be some what selfish but the theme for the August Photo contest is;
My Bucket List
Rules;
Must have a picture of an Airstream
Must show the surroundings of a place that other Airstreamers should put on their bucket list before they kick the bucket.
A very breif discription of the location so some other AS could find it.
Simple. The world we live in is so beautiful it is a shame not to share with others to enjoy.
I'm intreated in the post of our international friends
Lets see as many beautiful photographs as possible. Many of you have several in archive or if not you have 30 days to find your special place.

This is what I am talking about. Everyone knows about this event The colors could only be seen there and would have to be something you always remember. A great start.

OMG! AWESOME PIC & SOOOOOOOOO now on my bucket list... I can't participate this month as I doubt RAQUEL will see anything aside from the frog pond (private property so can't put it on bucket list) but must say... this photo is so awesome it makes me happy to be living in our Airstream fixerupper knowing that we too can someday see this beautiful spectacle


My bucket list is always comprised of places/things I want to photograph. Last spring, we managed to include two of them: Shiprock as seen from BIA 13 (highway), and the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. No way to include get a shot of the wolves with the Airstream in view, but there were plenty of opportunities to include it with Shiprock!

Located west of Alamogordo, this national monument features a 20-mile drive through the snow white dunes. You can picnic, you can sled down the dunes, but you cannot camp here.

Great photo, I hope we have some advid travelers that can introduce the rest of us to some of the wonderful places on federal land and national parks. One of my bucket list is the America the beautiful national park pass. Only four months to get my great deal at ten dollars.

Fun shots, David! That first one is in such a unique place. Never stayed at Gouldings, but knew exactly where you were in just a glance. At Page, I think that shot was from Lake Powell RV Park and Campground, pretty near the same site we were in while there. (I've wondered many times since why I didn't just hike over that ridge behind the park. Antelope Canyon is just over it.)

Goose Island State Park, Texas. Just got back. It was recommended to us by a couple in a Moho a few months back. Beautiful shaded sites, with huge oaks, kayaking, fishing...May not have the grandeur of some other spots, but tranquility is nice too.
