Identify vintage wheel cover

We are unable to determine if this is a factory wheel cover or not.

The wheel cover looks factory.

The blue paint and letter "A" that look like they were done in a kindergarten class do not.

I have a 1966 Overlander and mine are like that but have an embossed design in the middle. These look like knock offs to me.

I have half a dozed of these without the embossed design in the middle. I've seen photos of the ones like yours and like them better, but never seen any in person. Just the ones like mine.

In my opinion, they're such homely things that I can't imagine anyone bothering to knock them off.

I agree with your assessment of the appearance of these wheel covers/ hubcaps. BTW, I pulled them off of my 74, cleaned up the wheels, spray painted them with gloss black paint, and put on some really cool (retro) chrome plated baby moons I bought from an online dealer. They fit perfectly over the original wheel clips and have stayed put after at least 4,000 miles. We like the retro look on our 74 much better than the full size original hubcaps.

I bought baby moons from Mikes Hubcaps and mine don't seem to fit. Is this by chance where you got yours?. I would love the look with beauty rings.

Originals yes, but I think from the early 70's.
