Where to get new cushions made?
I need to have some new cushions made! I am located in Colorado, but shipping cushions should be cheap (I imagine). Who knows of a reputable shop that can make them?
Thanks,
Andy

Andy,
A guy here in Austin is making some cushions for me and also recovering the coach and 1 chair.
I have seen some of the work he has done recovering car seats in old mercury's. Very nice work and reasonable. He also is getting high quality foam for my twin bed conversion. I let you know, how it turns out.

Cushions
I used the MadStitcher in Atlanta. He has been around for 25 yrs or more, and has a small staff, does most of the work himself. John Dutton is his name...see the results in my post on interiors.

He is not cheap, but does a fine job, and will help with selecting the proper fabrics. He has a motorhome himself that he did the interior on..also have seen his work in exotic/luxury cars.

Replacement Cushions
Andy ~
We are in Denver and are currently having new cushions made for our 1964 GlobeTrotter by Steve Brown at General Cushion in Sheridan 303.789.6077. We'll let you know how they come out...

Thanks Shari!
I look forward to finding out how they turn out. That would be great to find a local merchant to make the new cushions.
Did you take them the fabric, or did they have fabrics they suggested?

They have some fabrics, but of course, my being a commercial interior designer, I have access to a much broader selection so I provided my own. If you want to see what I chose (definately not stock! ) check out our webpage www.insideout-design.net/maxwell

New Cushion Update...
We got our cushions last week...yipee!
Steve & Kathy Brown @ General Cushion, here in Denver (actually in Sheridan) did a TERRIFIC job! They were great about sticking with the original "hinged" cushion design, even though it was more difficult to construct. We used a 6" thick high density polyurethane foam & dacron wrapped it for softer edges.
We would definately recommend them for Airstream work and will go back when we are ready to do our new dinette...
Their phone number is: (303) 789-6007
To see the result, check out our webpage @
www.insideout-design.net/maxwell
Click on the "During" tab and then look in the "Cushions" section.
Happy Campers ~
Shari & Rob

Very nice! It sure is a good feeling to have that part of the restoration dobe, as I know. My Airstream feels so much more like "ours" with updated and restored seats and trim.
