I am completely gutting my 1967
overlander international and remodeling it in a modern way. I know some of you may be appalled that I wouldn't keep it as original as possible, but the previous owner had already painted over all the cabinetry... kind of bummed because it was actually quite beautiful. Anyway I would like to put the aluminum look in the front area. I'm taking out the couch bed and putting in a booth dinnette set. My question is: what material should I use? Aluminum is kind of expensive could I use stainless steel for the same look? Also should I leave the interior vinyl skin off? Or put the aluminum/stainless steel sheets over the vinyl interior skin?
