does Zolatone darken with age?

I finally realized that it's the original Zolatone I'm seeing inside the overhead cabinets and closets--the Safari was painted by the previous owners, and I've only been in 70s era ones before this.

Anyway, it's darker than I would have expected--almost a pale cocoa or dark parchment shade with the lighter splotches--is this the color it was originally?

Rivet Vinyl / Zolotone

Here's a pix of Vinyl of the left & Zolotone on the right. It is a crop & enlarge so the picture has lost some definition. It should depict the color tones. It was much darker before cleaning.

This is from the interior of my 1965 Safari, that has the 'International' upgrades.

Mine was. There were some areas with pristine Zolatone, and the way you described the color, it sounds exactly what I found in my 1963.

Norman--that's exactly the same as ours--the vinyl is only on the overhead cabinet doors, though.

The pix I attached was on the inner skin, about 4' up from the floor, just aft of the front goucho (I have center facing gouchos - 1 each side).

My unit has Zolotone in the forward third (walls & ceiling), vinyl coated inner skin midships, and fiberglass liner in the aft third.

My cabinet (doors) are also vinyl covered, but with a totally different type of vinyl than the inner skin.
