George Washington National Forest New Years

For any VA campers or others close by....
We "friends and family" have a group going to the mountains for New Years... we are trying something new this year and thought, what a better way to ring in the New Year than in the campers in the mountains.
Other activities will include hunting and trout fishing
If any campers are interested...drop me a line for the details.

We'd love to joint you but we're heading out on the 28th for a week in Black Mountain, NC ourselves.

That's pretty bold, Head. Gets cold out there this time of year. I'm going goose hunting on the Eastern Shore and can't make it, but good luck and have a great time.

Thanks for the invite. Pat

Can Opener

If I can get away, I'll be heading to the can opener - like it warm. I'd be up for something in the spring or the fall.

Specifically, where are you going? Campgrounds like North River, Hone Quarry, Columbia Furnace are open all year, but without services. Some pull offs are on Forest Roads, but alot have locked gates in winter months.
