You may also want to check West Marine or similar stores for a manual or electric lift hoist or davit. I bought an electric one for my dad's seawall to help him lift a rowboat out of the water for him. Marine hoists are very common and might provide another option for you.

You could hook that PTO shaft to an electric motor and power your Airstream! Say bye bye to the genset...I think you're onto something!
