UPDATE - April 25, 2009

UPDATE!!!!!! April 25, 2009.

I just got it back today. the repairs looks good and I'm happy to keep another old Airstream on the road. I went through my insurance and Andy was right about the costs, I am surprised it wasn't written off. While it was in the shop, we had a new fridge, hot water tank, and taps installed. It's better than it ever was since we bought it. Now I have to take it out for a trip. I'll get some pics soon, but my digital camera is dead.

Well I'm glad that everything worked out for you. If that damage cost about $10,000.00, I can just imagine how much it will cost to repair my 1966 Tradewind. Post pics when you can.

Traveland RV here in Langley, BC. did the work and I'm quite happy. I'm glad she's fixed. While it was oin the shop it received an new fridge and hot water tank, so she's just like new now. Can't wait to take her out and test everything.

Hi, I am curious what type of insurance you have on your trailer? I have mine as a rider on my car insurance and not for a very large amount. I also don't see what year you trailer is... BTW, thanks for sharing your story and I am glad you have your trailer back! Pam

Try Out of Doors Mart in Winston Salem, NC. They did similar work on my '89 Excella. I don't know about the interior, but it would shck me if they charged you over $3,300. I had 1 front curved window; front lower curved panel; top two left rear panels replaced for less than $5,000. Looks like new.
***Best advise: shop around. Just because it says Airstream doesn't mean it is made of gold.
