How about making a pair out of hardwood, say, oak? Might have to make them a little bigger/longer/thicker/etc, but it should be easier that metal (or hoping to find a set on Ebay ).

Hardwood would work and not be too hard or expensive to do. Just watch which way the grain runs, as your newly finished piece will break at the corner (stress area) if the grain isn't running right. In northern CA, you may try a hot rod/motorcycle fabrication shop. A water jet and some thick aluminum will do the trick...albeit a bit pricey.
Good luck.

I have a pair of original brackets to sell. The price is $10k and they come packaged in a 1966 Airstream Globetrotter.
Sorry, Tim, just had to jerk your chain a little.
The devil made me do it.

Now that I see the full view, that bracket is different than the 2 in my 66GT.
Obviously, they made more than one style. I'm attaching an enlarged view of mine. Sorry Tim, I would have loaned you one.

I tried to make one out of wood just based on the photos as a template to take to a shop. I turned out funky and I don't want to guess around with it if I'm paying to have it re-produced.
