Switch to the left of entry door 1968 Sovereign

Hi, we purchased & drug out of weed field a 1968 Sovereign landyacht. We seem to have some electrical glitches to work out. I need help with identifying the switch to the left of the entry door (if you are facing the door on the inside). What does this switch connect to or control?
Thanks. Lights in front of camper have dimmed on us, we suspect some type of short somewhere or transformer failure maybe. It didn't come with the airstream technical papers, but instead we got a lot of mice and a 4.5' snake...we evicted the snake pretty quickly! Waiting for technical papers from Airstream.

Thanks
Laurie

On my 1976 Sovereign the I have 2 switches, one is for the outside over door light and the other is a 2 way switch for the light over the kitchen sink. I am not sure what the set up is in your 68 Sovereign. It may also be the switch for the spotlight mounted on the front corner of the trailer.

A switch in that location is usually for the "porch" light (above the door) or the "scare" light (a floodlight in the skin of the trailer forward of the door, well-placed to blind you as you're walking toward the door in the dark.)

In our 67 globetrotter it is the switch for the main overhead light and the reading lights in the end cap - all 12 volt fixtures. Not sure if yours is the same, but thought I would offer an idea! Good luck!

Thanks for the information! Love your "Midge" she is so neat! Hope ours turns out as well! Funny I have the same sewing machine! It's a workhorse! Never thought I could run sunbrella material on it though! But this makes me want to give it a try!
