Power cord: Where to find

The power cord which came with my 34' 2003 s/o is only 20' long and very heavy. I need at least 50' which will either extend from the "monster", or one with a male fitting which will fit the trailer receptical. Either 50 or 30 amp. Anyone with suggestions?

Buy one already assembled. I purchased the parts and made one and still cost me close to $60.

I did some shopping at Camping World yesterday and they had some extentions but do not know how much they were. What I did buy was reasonable.

Hi, I bought a 30 Amp 25' RV extension cord for my trailer. I bought it at Camping World. So far I have not needed to use it, but it's there if the time comes.

I would do the same make your own IF it was not sealed plugs which is better in outside weather.

Thanks everybody, but still not resolved. I bought a 30 amp 50' cord from a West Marine. I now need a 4 prong female to a twist 30 amp male adapter. I'll check with the electrical outlets. Perhaps Hubble will carry something. Camping World dosn't. The quest goes on...

RV's have a special plug designation. It sounds like the cord you have does not have the TT designated plug/recepticle. Perhaps the easiest thing to do would be to see if you can pick up a TT cord, and return the one you cuurrently have.

You may be able to find an adapter like you're looking for, if not, you'd likely need to make one. Do you know what desigantion your connection is?

L14-30, L18-30, Non-Nema 30...

I would check McMaster-Carr. They are not the cheapest, but they seem to always have the one thing no one else carries.

I did have sealed plugs I sealed them, I do this for a living on aircraft. If you want to find fault with my input look somewhere other than cabeling.

Your local Wal-mart will have 30ft 30A RV extentions.

STERELLIE...I'm confused. My 2007 trailer has a 30 amp, 3 prong locking male receptical on the trailer. My Airstream supplied power cord has a 30 amp, 3 prong locking female connector on the trailer end of the cord and a 30 amp 3 prong male RV plug that fits into the campground power supply. If this is what you have you can purchase a 50' 30 amp RV power cord with a 30 amp 3 prong female RV connector and a 30 amp 3 prong male RV connector and use it in line with your existing cord. The only problem is that the connection between the cords is not weather proof. When I need an addional length of power cord I use a 25' boating cord with a 30 amp 3 prong locking male connector on one end and a 30 amp 3 prong locking female connector on the other end. I connect the 30 amp 3 prong male RV plug on the Airstream supplied RV cord to the campground power supply and connect the trailer end of the Airstream cord's 30 amp 3 prong female locking connector to the new boating cable's 3 prong locking male connector . I installed a "Sealing Connector" between the original Airstream supplied RV cord connector and the boating cord connector so I have a weather proof connection between the cables. I then plug the 30 amp 3 prong female locking connector on the boating cable to the trailer's 30 amp 3 prong locking male receptical. Hi, 2dabeach. Although I have already purchased an RV 30 Amp extension cord and as I have stated, I never have had to use it yet, I like your solution better. Thank You for posting this information with pictures included.
