No Wires for Roof Vent

Hello all, first time post for me. Did not find this information but not sure if I'm searching the best way.

I just purchased a 1985 Sovereign and the roof vents need to be replaced. Was going to use a vent that has a fan but there is no wire for supply voltage at vent that I can find.

Having done wiring in other equipment not Airstream, I would use a fish to run wires to the supply. So my questions is what is the best/easiest way to get 12 volts and ground to a fan on the roof?

If there is an overhead light tap into that

How do you get from vent to light? Can I use a fish to go from one to the other? Not sure if there is insulation under ceiling panels or something else. Thanks

There is insulation in the roof but it is fiberglass type insulation . My lights were real close to the vent .

Ten mile.....I have no idea how the 1985 Sovereign is setup. I have a 2007 25' Safari FB and I had the cheap vent over the bed recently replaced with a powered Fantastic Fan. The mechanic was able to find 12v power at a Ventline power vent installed in the ceiling of the shower which was approximetly 4' away. If you take power off a ceiling light you will have to leave your lights switched on whenever you want to run your fan.

On my 85 I ran the wires for the fan from the light when I changed to the LED light, the stock light had had wires running out from the AC.

I put fantastic fans in both vents in my 86 Sovereign. The ceiling lights are close enough to push your fan wires to and splice. Works good.

Thanks all, looks like connecting to light in ceiling is way to go. Does the lights work by grounding one side of light when switch is pressed? If this is true then by connecting to the side with the power going to the light the light would not have to be turned on.

I tied into the hot and ground wires right before they went into the light, fan and light operate seperately, has been working great for over a year now.
