Light bulb
Hi, I can't see your bulb. But, if its like the one on my 67 safari you can pick one up at the local home-hardware store. Mine looks like a Christmas light bulb. There are different base sizes so bring it with you.

This is a guess since I'm not looking at the bulb or setup. The bulb is a C7 12v

I'm guessing my 1960TW came to me with the original bulb. It is not a C7 type. You can find a pic (albeit not real clear) in this link from another thread:
http://www.airforums.com/forum...1&d=1166987894
The bulb didn't work so I removed it and have looked several places to find a replacement without any luck. The bulb got crushed in my bag, but I still have the base. Looks like a candelabra base like a C7. I tried a C7 bulb, but it didn't light either. I got the info off the bulb before it broke. It says GE (as in General Electric) NE-45. If anyone finds a source or finds a C7 works in theirs, I'd like to know too.
I just found this on the web GE NE-45 Neon Glow.
This is exactly like what was on my breaker box.

Thanks for the Photo link Sugarfoot, That has to be a 120v light. Not like the light in the 67, It's 12v. Good Luck

Replacement found
Yes you're right, it is a 120V bulb. I did a little searching and found a cheap import replacement bulb with glass housing (they also sell a plastic variety). Bulbconnection.com has them for 2.50 each. Bulb B7A replaces the NE-45. Donsbulbs.com has 8 new old stock bulbs made in the USA for 16.00 each but you have to buy 3 to make his $40 minimum order. I'll see how the cheap one works first.

Is it SUPPOSED to light up?
Got the bulb and tried it today. Guess what, plug in the trailer and it doesn't light. Then I remembered seeing something the original PO wrote in his notes. I'd read it a long time ago and it didn't make sense. Top line of card, it looks like "Plug in electric - light bed off." Could he have meant "light BULB off?" The box with the light IS UNDER the bed.
When I was looking for this little bulb I read something about use as an indicator light and in Hickok tube testers. Also something about the brightness was directly proportional to the current levels. Is it possible this bulb on the breaker box was an indicator of incorrect polarity or an electrical short? I'm as far from an electrical wizard as one could get. Don't tell me my ORIGINAL TO TRAILER bulb really did work, especially since I accidently broke it.

YES the old bulb could have been good. The bulb only comes on if the polarity is reversed or wrong . If it not on all things are good. It is a 120 volt light bulb. Hope this helps.

Although it seems like a strange concept, you never want to see this bulb working. I've broken one of these myself. Thanks for doing the research SugarFoot.

Andrew ,also a thanks as well ,I myself was wondering if the bulb had another purpose other than just turning on with the power .I had power anyway
yet no light ,normal .I have a small round hole drilled in the rear bath cabinet
that the PO drilled there to look thru to see the bulb .Hmmm ,he must have been concerned about it .Well ,Ive found no electrical problems at all with
any fixture or recepticle since Ived had this coach so I don't know what the PO had in mind there.
