BMPRO Battery Check

Anyone out there have the BMPRO BatteryCheck?

I've been studying dry camping needs and I found what seems like good advise - get a battery monitor to understand your power consumption and battery state. So I'm making that my first step in the journey to dry camping / boondocking.

In researching monitors, I found the two most common ones are the Bogart Engrg TriMetric and Xantrex Link. Both need to be hard wired into your system.

Then I stumbled on the BatteryCheck which is a wireless monitor that installs at your battery and wirelessly sends data to a phone app. It seems like a great solution if it works - same price range to buy, looks to provide same data, much easier / cheaper to install.

I'm wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with it. Looks like it was in emptied in Australia so maybe the electrons spin the other way!?

Looks cool as described. I've never seen one.

Victron also makes a stand-alone unit and Blue Sky offers an integrated solution with their solar chargers.

You can also reuse the existing CAT5 cable to make the connection from the current shunt located near the battery to the remote head so a DIY installation isn't too difficult for someone with basic handyman skills.
