As of today we are owners of an Airstream Overlander! It most certainly a project but it should be do-able... I am for the most part a very mechanical person by nature, so most things I think I can tackle, but I am sure that there are tricks to things. We have been looking at different types of camper, from pop-ups to trailer. Well. we saw an ad for this trailer pop up early this morning on Craig's List and had to go look. We could leave without buying. I know I have just put a lot of work on my shoulders but I think it will be a lobor of love, which will pay off for years to come...
Well, congratulations on your new acquisition and welcome to the forums!
To ease into everyday life w/ an old Airstream restoration project, get in the habit of simply burning your extra money every morning. Once you see the 50's and 100's go up in smoke, you will be ready to start your restoration without tears in your eyes!
