Anyone know of a good transport company for a 22' A/S from the east to the Rockies that is reasonable?

I have heard of one in or near Southern Pines, NC., however, I'm recently retired, own a '61 Safari 22 ft., TV-'02 GMC 2500HD. If you are interested, together, we could do a little research as to what is required for me to transport for you as a private citizen. Like, insurance requirements, liabilities of both parties, etc. Not looking to make a lot of $$, just for something to do that is fun, mainly just break even on expenses. Think about it and give me a call, 910-977-2165, or pm me, or email maxgann@nc.rr.com. I live in east central NC just off I-95.

RV dealerships are well hooked in to the network of freelance transport drivers.

22' Airstream? What year? Have the wheel bearings been packed in the last 5-10K miles? You would have significant responsibility in assuring that it's ready to pull that distance.

Aha -- I tried to find this thread the other day. Make sure you know who you're dealing with and that they know what they're doing -- http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44/...elp-39231.html

hey.. best tip i ever got.

go to uship.com

its like ebay for shipping & transport.. you post your needs/auction, whatever & shippers will bid on your load....
most shippers on here are licensed & insured & professionals pic,ing up side work... some are mom & pop w/ a diesel looking for extra cash, but ive got great responses & have a number of bids lined up for my potential sale & shipment right now.

Whom ever u hookup with if it appears to be a company Like John Browns Transport Make sure of the US DOT numbers and do the research yourself .Its all a matter of public record when they are registered with the feds. They need to be Registered with the Fed DOT and Have insurance documents to back it up.
Just becareful There are lots of fly-by-niters out there that will damage your stuff and u are leave ya holdin the bag.
Good LUCK
Roger

gc24,

I drive for Horizon Transport which is a 24 year old company that deliver campers, boats, horse trailers and equipment trailers all over US & Canada. DOT, insurance, all that jazz. May not be the cheapest but definitely reliable.

Horizon Transport Inc.

Godspeed,
Trent
