Purchased My First Airstream (Bambi Sport)!
Greetings from Santa Fe, NM.
I recently purchased a 2016 Bambi Sport and I am truly an uninitiated newbie into the world of Airstream. I did not receive an overview of the Bambi from the previous owner and I am learning as I go.
Any and All Advice Welcome!!!

Welcome to the forum.
Ask questions as they come up. You'll get plenty of answers.
Did you get the Owner's Manual? Reading it will help you understand the basics of what you need to do.

Welcome and congratulations!
Camp in it for a few days in your driveway if you can. You can use a 15amp to 30amp adapter, won't be able to run air conditioning that way. Or head to a local campground for a few days, that way if there are problems you're not far from home. Plus if you get a full hookup site you can practice connecting, disconnecting, dumping, etc. If you're new to towing ask for a pull through site, you can concentrate on backing up later. You can go through the whole park, unhitched,, hookup routine. Then in hookup, hitch up, tow in a circle around the campground, repeat a few times. Before you move the trailer always look under it to make sure the only things touching the ground are the wheels, and I top that nothing is trying to touch the sky.
Don't be afraid to politely ask fellow campers for a little knowledge, most are happy to help.
Don't be afraid to google questions!
Newbies guide to airstreaming is a good primer. Available from Amazon for kindle as well.

There is an Airstream For Dummies book and I would recommend the Long Long Honeymoon videos on YouTube. There is also a recent book on Airstream maintenance that I got but can't remember the specific name. Both books are available on Amazon.

Take a second set of eyes if you can. Human ones work better than a dog or cat. They can catch the, that doesn't look right things you might miss. Whenever I start to pull away with the trailer I go slow and keep the window down to notice any unusual noises.

Congratulations, welcome. These forums are a great source for answers, once you have the questions? ask friends and family, surely you will find someone with an RV or trailer. Go with them for a week end to learn the basics. On our first trip we traveled with a group of 5 RV's trailers and even an AS. Great way to get instant answers and help with problems.....Enjoy your adventure !
