Newbies in Colorado
After years of coveting Airstreams everywhere we went, last fall we bought a 1971 23ft Safari Land Yacht and finally started the remodel project this week.
We are moving slowly and methodically -- saving everything and taking pictures and more pictures and.... I've spent many evenings already absorbing some of the wonderful information here and cannot believe the wealth of knowledge. Thank you, for sharing you stories -- the good and the bad.
Also, over the weekend we found a bit of history hiding under the gaucho (along with the requisite mouse feces and window leak). We thought some of you might get a kick out of the US NEWS World Report from February 7, 1977. We thought it was pretty cool and it gave us a definitive former home and PO -- in Florida!
We will post more in the coming weeks as the scope of our undertaking continues to reveal itself…
