Newbie AS Hunting

Hi all -

I'm a newbie to this forum but I've been reading and watching the forum for a while!

I joined the forum today because I'm going to go look at a pre-owned AS Eddie Bauer this weekend. That being said I can't seem to locate a "deliver checklist" anywhere on this forum.

Does anyone have a "delivery checklist" or have thoughts as to what things I should specifically inspect when looking at the unit?

Thanks in advanced!

Greetings from the Florida Panhandle

Welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

When searching Airforums, it is most often best to search via Google using airforums and the matter you are searching. The search function within Airforums is not very good.

The OLD search function was problematic, but the new search function in the blue box above works great. It is powered by Google to search only within this forum, saving a bit of time vs. the suggestion just made.

Welcome to the forum fogartjj! If you have time to visit an Airstream dealer to check out the various sizes and models, that can be a rewarding trip for future reference. Good luck with your inspection.

Welcome from Colorado: I've used the Air Forums inspection checklist. It is basically a systematic inspection of all the systems in the trailer. "It all worked the last time we used it" is maybe an honest statement. But you are better served to "trust and verify". So be prepared to open, shut, lock every door, switch on every light, turn on every appliance, open every vent, operate all the systems from waste water tank level indicators to the carbon monoxide detector. What is the tread depth, air pressure and any sidewall cracks of those "good tires". Open the awnings (if), hitch the trailer up to your tow vehicle and verify the lights and brakes all work. The checklist has many other things you need to inspect.

When you are done, you will have a good idea of what you are buying.

I hope you like it. If you don't, there are many more to choose from.

David
