Talking I'm so excited!!

I just purchased a 1970 Globetrotter in Savannah GA! My BF and I are going to refurb it and try to have it ready for July 4th weekend. (I am a designer, and he is an engineer/ contractor) We are def not the tradtional restore types, but appreciate the history of our trailer. He has a company to run, so I have been doing the demo It has been very theraputic, though I can not lift my arms today b/c they are so sore.
Most of our trailer has been tampered with in one way or another. So, I am gutting it, and we have to replace the sub floor for sure. It is rotten. I read somewhere that my year model has issues with frame sagging around the axles, but I have my fingers crossed. Today was day 2 of the demo. The trailer is full of holes but I am confident that i can close them up. I dont think the bathroom is in the original place. It is weird, but I am planning on redoing it anyway. Well, I look forward to being a part of this community. We are a very enthusiastic and outdoor loving couple. I am really excited about this whole deal!! Cheers

It only gets worse. ASs are like potato chips, you can't have just one. You want to save them all. Welcome to the forums.

firelily007 Welcome to the forums. If your bath is on the streetside rear corner and you have a small L-shaped sofa in the streetside rear, That is the floorplan AS used to design the 75th anniversary 19 foot trailer in 2006. The pocket door the wetbath has is very unique. Best of luck in your renovations.

Sounds like a nice project.

Best of luck on that July 4th completion date. Keep us informed.

Welcome to the forums and to your new adventure!

You will love your A/S! Although our Bambi is a few years older than yours, here is a link to our frame off restoration... this can either frustrate you or encourage you.... depending on your mood. Ask away when you have questions you need answers or suggestions for!
